Skelton & Brotton Parish Council Queen’s Birthday Senior Citizen’s Afternoon Tea

Skelton and Brotton Parish Council once again held a Senior Citizens Afternoon Tea Party on Tuesday 20 June 2017.

As usual there was a good attendance by local residents, with high tea catered by Julie Green, from Julie’s Bake ‘n’ Butty.

Entertainment was provided by Councillor Mrs Kay Walker, Mildred Baker and Roz Walker.  There was also a rather unusual  rendition of ‘Save Your Love’ by Councillor Mrs Kay Walker and Roz Walker.

£76.96 was collected in donations for the Chair’s Charities, Zoe’s Place and The Earthbeat Centre.

Chair of Skelton and Brotton Parish Council, Councillor Angus McDonald thanked everyone for attending, the Parish Council Staff for taking care of the guests, and thanked the Entertainment Party for making the event so enjoyable.

Guests were reminded that the next Parish Council events were the Summer Pantomimes, open to all ages.

Skelton and Brotton Parish Council Supports East Cleveland Youth Olympics

Skelton and Brotton Parish Council were once again delighted to be working with Sports Co-ordinator Ailsa Bell, and the Freebrough Academy Sports Leaders when they supported the East Cleveland Youth Olympics, held at St Peter’s C of E Primary School in Brotton on Tuesday 11 July 2017.

The weather misbehaved, with rain getting heavier throughout the day, but this didn’t deter the young athletes, who carried on regardless.

The Parish Council’s famous ‘goody’ bags with drinks, healthy snacks and treats were once again well received by the children and some of the staff!
